Our carefully crafted menu is made using great local suppliers such as WH Frost Butchers, Barbakan Bakery, Unicorn, Worker Bee Coffee and Chorlton Honey. We offer a black board of chef’s specials and home-made cakes alongside our all-day menu.
This position would ideally suit an experienced head chef looking for a better work life balance and daytime hours whilst still offering the opportunity to create dishes.
Head Chef Requirements:
Experience of working in a kitchen on your own
Demonstrate fast turn round of checks without compromising quality
Organised and comfortable working in a high pressure environment
Stock control, ordering and managing a kitchen experience
Lead by example and have organisational flair
Commercially minded
Share our desire to delight every one of our customers
Have a positive, cheery outlook and ‘can do’ attitude
Keep up to date with current food trends
Head Chef Day to Day:
Work on your own or as part of a small kitchen team of 1 other chef
Cook with majority fresh, local and quality ingredients
Power through busy lunch service working all parts of the kitchen and the pass
Comply with legal requirements under H&S act 1974
Ensure 5 star hygiene rating is maintained
Control stock and ordering with negligible wastage
Check suppliers deliveries and the accuracy of their invoices
Have good working relationship all areas of the business
